Using an XML interface to upload your data
Submitting data reports on packaging volumes
Companies using packaging that is subject to system participation to distribute their goods, i.e. retail, grouped or shipment packaging, are required to report the same packaging volumes they reported to their system operators to the LUCID Packaging Register. That is called 'data reporting'.
Some system operators provide their clients with an XML file containing the volumes that client participated with that system. The volumes are usually broken down by material type. Registered companies can upload these XML files to the LUCID Packaging Register, automatically reporting their packaging volumes in the process and fulfilling their data reporting obligation.
Uploading an XML file
To fulfil your data reporting obligation by uploading an XML file with your packaging volumes, please log in to the LUCID Packaging Register using your login credentials. Then click 'Submit data report' in the 'Data reporting' tile. Look for the 'XML report' tile to upload your XML file. If the upload of your file has been successful, you can view your volume report in the 'Submitted data reports' overview.

Entering and maintaining your brand names
When registering with the LUCID Packaging Register, you are required to enter the brand names you are using to distribute your packaged goods, broken down by packaging that is subject to system participation and packaging that is not subject to system participation.
If you have registered already, you can add your brand names to the LUCID Packaging Register manually or by uploading an XML file. An upload is worthwhile for all companies that need to enter a larger number of brands or that can export brand names from a merchandise management system as an XML file.
