E-accessibility

This accessibility statement applies to the website of the Stiftung Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister (Foundation Central Agency Packaging Register – ZSVR), including the LUCID Packaging Register.

Even though we endeavour to make our website accessible to all, complete accessibility has not yet been achieved. The existing barriers are as follows:

The LUCID Packaging Register is not yet fully accessible for technical reasons and due to the disproportionately high adjustment efforts entailed. We are striving to achieve complete accessibility as we continue to develop and improve our website.

Older video files have neither audio descriptions nor full text alternatives, and some older audio files do not offer alternatives for the hearing-impaired. We are not reworking this content because it is not required for administrative proceedings and the information is available in other accessible forms on our website. We deem the efforts of reworking the contents to be disproportionately high.

Some of the older PDF files are not accessible. We are not reworking them because these files contain archived legacy content that is not required for administrative proceedings. Most of the files are comprehensive final reports on research projects for a small audience. We deem the efforts of reworking the contents to be disproportionately high.

We aim to make new contents fully accessible.

Arbitration proceedings

If your issue is not resolved after sending your feedback to the contact mentioned above, you can contact the Arbitration Service pursuant to section 16 Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (Act on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities – BGG). The Arbitration Service is responsible for mediating accessibility-related conflicts between people with disabilities and federal public bodies and aims to achieve out-of-court settlements to disputes. The arbitration procedure is free of charge. Involving legal counsel is not required.

Please refer to the following website if you would like to find out more about arbitration proceedings and about the options to submit an application (the latter is available only in German): https://www.schlichtungsstelle-bgg.de/Webs/SchliBGG/EN/home/english-node.html. The German version is also available in sign language via the SQAT service, in plain language and as audio content, the English version is only available as everyday English text and audio content.

If you would like to contact the BGG Arbitration Service directly, please send an e-mail to info@schlichtungsstelle-bgg.de.
